CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT OPTIONS
At Good Shepherd Medical Centre, we provide a range of appointment options tailored to the nature and urgency of your medical needs, as well as your health, lifestyle, and personal circumstances. Patients are encouraged to book a standard face-to-face appointment by contacting us directly or scheduling online. However, if your situation requires a different type of appointment, you’re welcome to explore and arrange an alternative appointment from the available options listed below.
FACE TO FACE (In Person) APPOINTMENTS
The Face-to-face appointment is the standard and most common option selected by patients to receive medical consultation from their Good Shepherd GP. The patient will be required to attend the appointment in person at our practice. To make an appointment, patients can contacts us by telephone or book online.

TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS
Telehealth appointments (phone consultations) are available to eligible patients and are subject to certain requirements. To qualify for a Telehealth consultation, patients must:
- Hold a valid Medicare card to receive applicable rebates.
- Have attended an in-person (face-to-face) consultation at our clinic within the past 12 months.
WALK-INS
Walk-in patients – patients attending without an appointment – are accepted depending on availability and clinical urgency. Please note that there may be a wait before seeing a doctor.
- Walk-in appointments are accepted where possible.
- Patients will be triaged and seen according to urgency.
HOME VISTS
Home Visits must arranged in advance. Please speak to reception about the possibility of booking a home visit. Please note:
- Doctors may provide home visits for regular patients when necessary.
- Home visits are offered where it is safe and reasonable to do so.
AFTER HOURS CARE - HOME DOCTOR SERVICE
The ‘After-Hours Doctor Service‘ extends our services to providing after-hours care for patients of Good Shepherd Medical Centre who require medical assistance outside of regular opening hours. The National Home Doctor Service (NHDS) will provide home visits and medical advice for our patients during after-hours periods when our practice is closed.
After- Hours Care Coverage:
- Weekdays (6:00PM- 8:00AM): Patients can access after-hours care via NHDS.
- Saturdays (After 12PM ): Patients can access after-hours care via NHDS.
- Sundays and Public Holidays (All day): Patients can access after-hours care vis NHDS.
